Firm Policies for Articles

  1. Work Hours: Standard working hours are from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. Lunch breaks are for thirty minutes, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Further a grace period of 45 minutes i.e. upto 11:15 AM is applicable, beyond that a half day may be marked. The articles are allowed grace time of 15 mins to be present at their respective places by 3:15 PM mandatorily.
  2. Water Cooler: Relevant water cooler is available in office premises and the same may be operated and utilized by the articles for cold water. In winters the cold-water facility may be switched off as per majority of office staff decision.
  3. Switching Off Electricity Equipments and Computers: The last person to leave office should be mandatorily required to switch off lights, fans, air conditioners and their computer devices mandatorily. The office boy will switch off unattended sytems by 7:00 PM ,however all articles must mandatorily close systems. Non compliance despite reminders may lead to penalty and indemnification as per the judgment of the management.
  4. Attendance: All articles must maintain the attendance record in the register maintained with office boy. In case of absence, prior approval is mandatory.
  5. Dress Code: Maintain a professional and formal dress code. No casual wear, including jeans or t-shirts, is permitted during office hours.
  6. No Use of Cell Phones for social Media: The firm strictly prohibits, use of social media such as facebook, Instagram, snapchat or other social media applications usage in office. If a candidate is found watching reels in the office he shall be appropriately penalized.
  7. Punctuality: Punctuality is non-negotiable. Chronic tardiness will result in disciplinary action.
  8. Leave Policy: The festivals as per office calendar allow leaves to Articles. The ICAI allowed leaves are a maximum of 12 leaves in a year. The all leaves except festival holidays are unpaid.
  9. Study Leave: No allowance for study leaves under new scenario.
  10. Ethical Conduct: All articles must adhere to the ICAI Code of Ethics. Confidentiality of client information is paramount and strictly enforced.
  11. Client Interaction: Articles must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients.
  12. Reporting: Articles must report to their respective senior or manager on a daily basis regarding work progress.
  13. No Tolerance towards unprofessional behaviour – In case of unprofessional behaviour i.e. not working in line with the principal’s instructions or refusal to do the selected tasks, the concerned article may be suspended or penalized approporiately. In case of misconduct the article shall be required to indemnify the firms partners for the loss caused.
  14. Training & Development: The firm will provide regular training sessions on various subjects, including audit software, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  15. Documentation: All work must be meticulously documented and filed as per the firm's standards.
  16. Notice Period: The articles are mandatory required to serve a notice period of 30 days, further a shorter notice period may be agreed in case of satisfaction of principal or if principal feels that the work requirement of selected candidate is not much. No stipend dues shall be payable to the selected candidate not servicing the notice period efficiently i.e. if the candidate is merely coming to office but not service the notice period efficiently and not faithfully delivering the desired work, no stipend shall be payable for the same period.
  17. Communication of Notice for Transfer: The communication of notice shall be first in person to the principal and consultation and then the student may give a paper written application and an email may be sent to the concerned principal.
  18. Communication: Clear and concise communication is expected. Use of professional language is a must in all written and verbal communication.
  19. Use of Firm Assets: Firm assets, including laptops and printers, are to be used strictly for official purposes.
  20. Mobile Phones: Use of personal mobile phones during working hours should be limited to emergencies only. Further, if a candidate is found using excessive social media the candidate shall be treated as being unfaithful to the work and the partners of the firm and the principal of the office.
  21. Data Security: Articles must ensure the security and confidentiality of all data, both physical and digital.
  22. Performance Review: A bi-annual performance review will be conducted to assess the article's progress and provide feedback.
  23. Stipend: The stipend will be paid at the quarterly intervals by the firm with deductions as per tax laws (if applicable). The student candidate if found to not compliance with the firm’s partners the relevant stipend shall be withheld or deducted to indemnify the losses occupying to the partner or principal.
  24. Grievance Redressal: A formal process is in place for articles to address any concerns or grievances.
  25. Harassment Policy: The firm has a zero-tolerance policy against any form of harassment, including sexual harassment.
  26. Conflict of Interest: Articles must disclose any potential conflict of interest to the management.
  27. Disciplinary Action: Violation of firm policies may lead to disciplinary action, including termination of articleship.
  28. Exit Formalities: Articles must complete all exit formalities, including handover of work and assets, before leaving the firm.
  29. Confidentiality Agreement: All articles must sign a confidentiality agreement at the time of joining.
  30. Mentorship: Each article will be assigned a mentor to guide them through their articleship journey.
  31. Feedback: The firm encourages articles to provide constructive feedback on the firm's policies and procedures.
  32. Professional Development: Articles are encouraged to participate in seminars and workshops to enhance their professional skills.
  33. Social Media Policy: Articles should refrain from posting confidential client or firm information on social media.
  34. Leave Application: All leave applications must be submitted at least one week in advance, except in case of emergencies. Further, the candidiates must communicate about the leaves either before the commencement of the office hours or one day prior.
  35. Minimum Period of Working: No candidate is allowed for joining the articleship for a short term period, the candidate must serve the period of articleship of minimum a quarter or 3 months to get eligible for the complete stipend dues. Further, the article should refrain from the registration with the firm if the article is looking for short term training, a longer articleship training candidates are preferred. Candidates looking for less than 1 year or short term training should refrain from joining the firm and explore other options. Further,
  36. Ethical Dilemmas: Articles should consult their senior or manager when faced with an ethical dilemma.
  37. Non-Solicitation: Articles are not to solicit clients of the firm for a period of three years after the completion of their articleship.


Articleship Transfer Policy

  1. Transfer Eligibility: Articleship transfers are not permitted only as per the ICAI guidelines, specifically after the first year and before the final year of articleship except certain reasons and relevant documentary evidences must be furnished for the same.
  2. Documentation: The article must submit a formal application for transfer, along with the required supporting documents (e.g., medical certificates, relocation proof).
  3. No Objection Certificate (NOC): A No Objection Certificate from the current principal is mandatory for the transfer to be approved.
  4. Notice Period: A minimum of one month's notice is required for any transfer request.
  5. Work Handover: The article must complete all pending work and ensure a proper handover before the transfer is finalized.
  6. Stipend Clearance: All outstanding stipend payments which are payable must be cleared before the transfer is processed, no stipend payments shall be encouraged after filing of form 109 is undertaken or if no communication is there from the candidate after the 30 expiry of 30 days from the submission of form 109 and transfer is approved.
  7. Re-joining: The firm does encourage the re-joining of the article in the future after a transfer.
  8. No Recruitment Promise: The firm does not make any promises of employment after the articleship period is over.
  9. Final Decision: The final decision on the transfer request rests with the firm's management.
